South East Success on English Tour

Three members of the South East Region have just returned from a three week tour of England and have turned in some remarkable results, Anne Marie Dunphy, Monica Dunne and Rachel Dowley started their journey at the Hartpury Festival of Dressage where Anne Marie embarked Urbanus on his International career, Urbanus turned in a mature and accomplished performance to score 62.85 in the PSG and 61.55% in the Inter 1 on his international debut ,Monica Dunne and the relatively inexperienced Vileberrie had some great results finishing 2nd in both Medium 61 and Medium 75, Rachel Dowley and Egano S underlined their potential by finishing 10th in the FEI Junior Test with 62.61% in a hotly contested class.

Departing from Hartpury they travelled on to Kings Equestrian in Herdfordshire, where the good results continued, Anne Marie and Urbanus scored a very impressive 70.78% to easily win the PSG, Monica and Vileberrie continued with their consistent vein of form to top Medium 73 and finish 2nd in Medium 64, Rachel and Egano S completed in 4th and 5th places in Advanced Medium 85 and 98 respectively. Using Kings Equestrian as a base they then travelled to Solihull in Birmingham where the winning ways continued, Urbanus was very impressive to score his second win in a row with 66.82% in the PSG, last to go in medium 64 Monica and Vileberrie completed a confident test to stand top of the line scoring 67.1% and also finished a close 2nd in Medium 73 with 65%, Rachel and Egano S scored 60% in the Open section of Advanced Medium 85 to take an excellent 2nd place. Rachel competed again in King Equestrian where they secured a super result finishing 2nd with 65.73% in the open section of Advanced Medium 85.

From there it was onwards an upwards as the journey continued to Hickstead to compete in the Hickstead Masters championship and Urbanus was mixing it with the big guns in the small tour CDI ***. In the small tour Masters championship, Urbanus really came into his own, with his confidence obviously growing with each outing he scored 64.82% in the first leg but was particularly impressive in the second phase, the Inter 1 kur where he rose to the occasion to secure 4th place with 68.5% and overall 5th place in the championship. Monica and Vileberrie scored 63.93% in the Elementary championship and secured 6th place in the restricted section of the Medium championship. Rachel and Egano S completed their competitions by scoring 63.38% in the Advanced Medium Masters Championship.

In the small tour CDI *** Urbanus underlined his potential as a talented International horse by rounding off his tour by scoring 65.89% in the PSG and 63.15% in the Inter 1.
